About the Program

Support All Youth Employability Skills (SAYES) program is an employment readiness and skills development initiative designed to support newcomer youth in successfully entering the Canadian workforce. The program provides structured training, mentorship, and hands-on support to help participants overcome barriers to employment and build long-term career pathways.

Program Overview

The SAYES Program is delivered through multiple intakes per year, with twelve participants per intake for 2–3 intakes annually, depending on funding and program capacity. The program focus is on equipping participants with practical skills, workplace knowledge, and connections to employment opportunities. Priority may be given to individuals who demonstrate a strong need for structured employment support, particularly newcomer youth.

Program Eligibility

  • Must be a Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Must be 29 years of age or younger (youth)
  • Have a minimum CLB Level 4 (Canadian Language Benchmark)
  • Be facing barriers to employment (e.g., lack of experience, language challenges, limited networks)
  • Demonstrate motivation and commitment to complete the program
  • Have a clear interest in improving employability and workforce integration

Program Structure and Components

The Program consist of 12 weeks of in-class training followed by a 12 week work placement and includes a combination of training and practical supports.
